About

How it all started

Although Feel Good Kits aims to offer a variety of (hopefully) feel-good products, the story behind the brand starts with the first kit I ever assembled for myself.

Back in 2017, I was often plagued with migraines of varying frequency and intensity, usually catching me unprepared when out and about. I had different solutions for different pain levels, but the tiny remedies I tossed in my purse would usually get lost, crushed, or I'd forget to replace them after use.

One day, I spotted a tiny, shiny mermaid iridescent bag in a stationery store. I had no idea what I could possibly use it for (what is this, a bag for ants???), I just knew looking at it made me happy. Soon enough though, I realized that small pouch was actually the perfect size to fit all my remedies and from then on, I was never caught unprepared again.

Having everything organized in one place worked wonders for my well-being, not only for pain management, but also in lowering the anxiety tied to unpredictable flare-ups. I naturally started referring to it as my “Feel Good Kit.”

Feeling "always prepared" became an essential part to having a stress-free day for me. Since then, I’ve designed several more kit concepts, all with the aim of being colorful, fun, practical and carry-on sized!

From a failed stationery attempt to unique handmade flower bookmarks

As I started giving out test kits to friends and family, I briefly experimented with creating my own handmade stationery inspired by the beautiful flowers of San Francisco. Although my stationery-making era was very short-lived (I am not patient nor detail-oriented enough for the delicate stationery vision I had), I did not want the large quantities of beautiful papers, flowers and metallic leaf I had collected over time to go to waste.

I quickly found a new way to use up all of that pretty inventory: creating my own bookmarks! Even though my first batch was pretty wonky (thankfully I've refined my creating technique since), the instant feedback I got when letting my close-ones pick their favorite ones was of awe and joy. As each one is unique (not voluntarily, but simply because they are handmade), they almost feel like rare collectable pieces, and certainly make for great, easy, hard-to-go-wrong gifts.

Incidentally, they also happened to stay in line with the philosophy behind the kits by being both useful and very pretty (if I do say so myself!). They became a part of the Feel Good Kit SF adventure, with SF being added to the brand name as a very proud (and constantly inspired by) San Francisco local.

Although the idea for Feel Good Kits SF was starting to make more and more sense, something still felt missing in order to launch a full-time business.

To an unexpected family collection

In 2025, life took an unexpected turn. I suddenly became the repository of an extensive collection of what I like to call family “treasures”, ranging from fashion to artworks and home decor. I spent months sorting through hundreds of items that had been handpicked by family members over generations and from around the world. I ended up left with a hefty curated collection of beautiful, exotic, unique and (sometimes) useful pieces. As proud as I am for what I consider my elders’ exquisite taste, I also realized I didn’t have the space nor the desire to hoard all of these goods for myself like a greedy dragon in its den. Finding a home for each item, where they would be fully cherished and appreciated, felt like  a fitting tribute.

From then on, I realized I had more than enough products to launch my own website. Having landed on the name 'Feel Good Kits SF' years ago, I decided to introduce two more sound-matching categories that suited the brand name: the Fits (for fashion) and the Bits (for home decor and bookmarks). Both categories also happen to be personal interests of mine, so here we are today: Feel Good Kits SF where you can browse unique kits, fits and bits!

If you've read this far, thank you for attention. As this is just the beginning, many more creative ideas might just see the light of day in the near future.

But for now, as I navigate these new waters: each purchase helps fuel my dream of not working for someone else, so thank you for your support!!
